Embodied Mindfulness: the Hakomi Way
(Psychotherapy as Spiritual Practice)
By Donna Martin
Donna Martin is a senior Hakomi trainer who taught internationally and worked closely with Ron Kurtz for twenty years. Embodied Mindfulness: the Hakomi Way is a compilation of some her writing for training groups over that time, all of which was approved by Ron Kurtz, with a few excerpts written by Kurtz himself. Hakomi is presented as “assisted self study” and as spiritual practice, with practical sections on loving presence, embodied mindfulness, contact and tracking, and other important skills aspects, and techniques of the Hakomi Way. It is intended to complement live training experience and other written materials about Hakomi.
